UBCDS Google Drive – All club documents, tournament information, meeting minutes can be found here!

“Temporary Resource Collection” — There is a group on Facebook called “debate resources.” A friend added me to it several months ago, without any real explanation. In this group there was a single link: this link. Here you can find a single document full of links to presentations to help build up useful debate knowledge. This can be a great resource to use if you have some free time and an interest to learn.

Debate Videos

WUDC - Topic (YouTube) — This is an auto-generated playlist with lots of good University-level debates. That fact that it is auto-generated means that some less-relevant material might be included as well.

HWS Round Robin — The HWS (Hobart and William Smith Colleges) Round Robin might just be the most competitive tournament in the world. Each year, the winners of major tournaments and the finalists of WUDC are invited to compete in a 16-team tournament. Any spots that aren’t filled this way are done by application only. Each room is judged by two highly qualified panels, and the Adjudication Cores are frequently as good as Worlds. This is the official YouTube channel for the HWS Round Robin.

Full BP Debates (YouTube) — This is another good video playlist.

Good search terms on YouTube to find new videos include:

  • WUDC (Worlds University Debating Championships)

  • EUDC (European Universities Debating Championships

  • NAUDC (North American Universities Debating Championships)

  • USUDC (United States Universities Debating Championships)

  • Tournament of Champions Debate

  • HWS Debate

  • Yale IV, Cambridge IV, Oxford IV
